Great group of people. I don't have one bad word. Just ain't making money here. Grossed 59+k in 22 then 10k less in 23. To be out 5 days a week the pay is not there for me. Not all drivers there make as low as I have there. Just past 3 years with them, I can't do another 50k yr pay with them

Pros

Good maintenance program

Cons

Horrible overlay pay

It’s not the best company to work for. You have management making 2x-6x what drivers are making. The miles are low. When they could pay more to drivers they choose to build a new facility and buyout another company

Pros

Good home time

Cons

The drivers are not paid enough. The company does not listen to drivers

They will assign you a load, then take it away. Lots of short loads. Guaranteed a $1000 a week by recruiter only to find out at orientation there were “stipulations” to receive it. There was no way to get it when you had to sit and wait on a load. Also guaranteed 2500-2700 miles a week - what a joke!! MANAGEMENT does not care!!! Stay away from this company.

There are none

Don’t ever risk your career with this kind of place! They are the worst trucking company I have ever worked with! They will always find away to steal your money

Pros

Nothing positive to say

Cons

The Cons there is Big G themselves!!

Koch or Big G, which would you choose?

Big G is a great otr company. Both my wife and I worked there for several years. If you live in TN they will get you home every single weekend, unless you choose to stay out longer. I highly recommend them.

Big G Express Shelbyville, Tn So far........

I have been driving for 22 years and for a lot, I mean a lot of companies.....I have only found 3 that were decent, Wright Transportation, Mobile, Al., Tyson Foods, and my current employer Big G Express. I have posted positive reviews on here before about past compaines, but then something happens,i.e. miles drop, big management changes, or they go bankrupt. Now I digress back to Big G. I started here in March.I applied here 5 years ago and the pay was low and the insurance was horrible, so I passed. 3 years ago the owners sold the company to the employees, and things changed, driver pay increased (3 weeks ago they gave us a .04 cpm across the board pay raise),we got more extra pay items, and the insurance is awesome. You get insurance from DAY ONE if you so choose. The ESOP plan puts FREE MONEY INTO YOUR RETIREMENT! yes I said free!!!!.Basically the more money the company as a whole makes you make more, because after all you are an employee owner. Here are a few of my observations thus far:
