Started off being a decent job pay was good lacking basic benefits insurance is horrible. Seniority means nothing and they will relocate you even if the job is posted somewhere else management doesn’t know how to manage or treat people they views drivers as disposable and I was there 2 years didn’t mean anything they relocated my truck due to slip seat issues with co driver and moved me to where I drove an extra 2 hours a day voiced my concerns before they made the decision to move my co driver was ignored and then told to basically drive 2 hours free or I’m out of a job but they continue to burn through drivers all they have to do is just leave the job alone but it’s always changing due to poor management.

Nice equipment, and the people are great and so many different fleets for a driver to choose from! Been here for a few years and I have had the opportunity to watch and grow with the company!!!!

Pros

Newer equipment costumer based freight and most of the time you have a load assignment before you get unloaded

Cons

It is a trucking company and anyone that know the industry knows how trucking is at times

Percentage pay means you must manage your time well and pay close attention to your load assignments. Also, you must speak up or negotiate if you are not getting enough good loads. The best paid drivers are flexible. If you do the minimum on "auto-pilot" you will earn in the 80s. If you pay attention and do more without knocking yourself out, you will make well over $100k. Top drivers get over $140k - I will never be one because I like to go home and always get adequate sleep. Note that higher productivity will get you a bonus of up to 10% on all your work. If you try, you will often be at the top rate. Benefits are superior 401 k match Paid sick time and holidays 3% of gross for safety bonus (about $3500 for myself) Per deim Pay puts about $150 more in my bank every week Tax free medical savings with company match. I am averaging $2200/ week (which is not easy) but I would need to make about $2500/ week for the same net if i had only typical benefits. Zero micromanagement and "hands-off" if you are a professional. You decide when to start, shut down, when to go home, for how long. You decide which routes to take This is flat bedding (I have a curtain-side, no tarps), you will do about one hour per day of physical work. You will sweat and get dirty - it's GOOD for you!

Pros

Superior pay Good company culture Flexible schedule Work at your own pace.

Cons

Can be hard to get layover or detention pay - oh, I have gotten plenty of it but I had to be persistent and assertive.

THIS COMPANY FIRED ME FOR BEING SICK!NOT A GOOD COMPANY TO WORK FOR! WORKED FOR THEM FOR OVER A YEAR! This company will fire you if you are disabled or sick! Do not go here for work. Also the health insurance is a total joke and they don't care about their employees at all. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY! They will lie about you after you work for them so other companies will not hire you! They literally fired me for being SICK! This has caused my diagnosis and treatment to be put off even more because they didn't want a truck driver who has a reasonable accommodation. So they fired me for a bogus reason that no one else would ever get fired for, then falsified my record to make it look like I was an unsafe driver. They have completely turned my life upside down and made my illness 10x worse due to the stress. Now that the waiting period for the new Insurance, I had to use every dime I was left with after they ruined me with to pay for, is in effect I can finally go to the neurologist to get the results of the MRI I had the day before I was fired! Over a month ago! I can not tell you enough how badly I was treated here once after I became sick. I was told if I was diagnosed with the sickness they would FIRE me. Even though I am 100% cleared medically to drive a truck because I have good eyesight and I do not have seizures. Those are the 2 things in the disease that would disqualify me and they don't apply to me.

F&S has been my best driving experience with my few yrs of experience as a flatbedder. Regular loads & great support system. I recommend any safety oriented driver come to work.

I spent the last week talking to a Fraley and Shilling driver. Guy had absolutely nothing bad to say about the outfit, and that was a company that fired him over speeding! Yes, they are very, very, very, VERY safety and CSA conscious. Plus, the pay ain't chump change.

Yeah, I'm putting together the application even as we speak. They've got an operation just north of me, and never advertise for new employees. That, plus the sales job from a former driver, pretty much sold me on the company.

I've been driving flatbed for them for several years now and I think they are a great company. You are right about watching the CSA scores. They are very tough on traffic violations of any kind but they are upfront about it. They send us qualcomm messages when someone gets popped for doing something stupid and what it did to their CSA score just as a reminder. One thing they have going for them over other companies I have been with is #### good people in the office. Hell, Robert Schilling, the owner, knows who I am by name and will talk to anybody. I've never had that before!

Q: Applied to them for a yard jockey position, ended up signing up for orientation for midwest regional , any one know if they are any good to run for? Couldn't find any thing on them of substance, Thanks

A: Yep. Great company. I have work for them for the last 4 years out of the Alcoa, TN. terminal.
