Very poor communication internally. Drivers seem to know more before dispatchers or mgmt does. Haul back and forth to GM, does not pay detention pay till after 2.5 hours. Slip seat locally, Ryder rental trucks which are maintained. Operation people seem to be friendly and respectful, mgmt could care less it seems and does not accept drivers input. Not a long term job by any means.

Pros

sleep in own bed every night

I decided to give my review of Rush Trucking. I spent 4 1/2 years with Rush. They started out as a place I could see myself retiring from, however. Recent management changes have made this just another driver meat grinder. Low pay multiple lay~ offs several times each year. Being pushed to make 650+ miles a day in 62 mph trucks. Pay issues of not paying reimbursements. Shorting you miles. Basically treating you like a idiot. Lies lies and more lies. Then when you complain about layoffs they make up a reason to fire you. Stay clear of this sinking ship.
